May 4 Saturday Fine. Mrs Leek washed wool. Jim went to Town for phosphate. Sewell got load of hay.
May 5 Sunday Fine. Rob here for tea. Rob better. Iss, R here. Pigs came, 10 of them.
May 6 Monday Fine. Planted onions. Apple trees came from Fargerson's. Sowed peas. Sewell got load of hay. Iss here. Harrowing. Tom brought wheat.
May 7 Tuesday Fine. Jewitt trees came. William ploughing on hill.
May 8 Wednesday Fine. Mary sick. Mrs Allen here. Miss Brown called. Sit out trees. Iss here.
May 9 Thursday Very hot. Finished planting trees. Dropping potatoes. Mrs Leek here. Mary sick. I sick. Jean at school. Iss here.
May 10 Friday Cool. Showers with thunder in afternoon. Jean very sick all day. Jim went to Town. I feel very bad all day. Slept on sofa. Mrs Leek here, cleaned my room. Men planting potatoes.
May 11 Saturday Fine. Jim sowing oats Chapel Field. Mr Plass sowed garden seeds. Jim, Iss went home. Mary better. I very tired. Rob very deaf now for some time. Mr Plass went home.
May 12 Sunday Fine with shower and hail in evening. Ace, Mame and children here. Maggie Murray here for tea. Had greens. Iss, R here after they got home. William at Spring Hill all night.
May 13 Monday Jim ploughed up hill. I did not do much as I feel so tired all the time. Mary very cross and fretful. Iss, R here. Men here to see colt. Cow poorly.
May 14 Tuesday Raining. Jim set out strawberries, apple trees and goose berry bushes. Mrs Leek washed and helped me clean house.
May 15 Wednesday Fine. Italians came to work today, two of them. Jim at James Sutherland's frolic. I am tired out. Want to go home.
May 16 Thursday Fine. Italians still here. Farming.
May 17 Friday Fine, warm. Mr Plass came at noon. Iss, R here. Men planting up hill.
May 18 Saturday Very hot and dry. Men planting up hill. Jim went to Town with butter evening.
May 19 Sunday Very hot. No one here all day. Mosquitoes very thick. I went to Mr Allen's evening.
May 20 Monday Very warm. Italians here planting up hill. I set turkey. Mrs Leek here. I went for strawberry plants.
May 21 Tuesday Cool and cloudy. I got slips from Annie. Men finished planting up hill. Drilled corn land. I set out strawberry plants. Italians here. Rain tonight.
May 22 Wednesday Lovely day. Men manuring corn land. Finished sowing peas. I made flower garden. Set tomatoes out. Gypsies here for breakfast.
May 23 Thursday Fine. Men putting out manure. I lame.
May 24 Friday Fine and cool. Men very busy. Italians went away tonight.
May 25 Saturday Fine, cool. Jim, Mr P planting corn. W ploughing up hill. Jim took 19 1/2 lbs of butter to Town after tea. I finished Jean's apron. Mr Tagrin called.
May 26 Sunday Fine, cool. Frost last night. Jim and I on Island. Mr and Mrs Tenant here. Iss, Rob called evening.
May 27 Monday Fine, cool. Mrs Leek here. I cleaning hall. Jim, Mr P planting corn. W ploughing up hill. Albert, Bessie here for peas. Lar Paylor got peas. Opened flour barrel.

May 31 Friday Rain last night. Warm, close this morning. Men all up hill. Iss, R here. McIntosh got pigs.
