August 1938 - Huldah

Aug 1 Mon Charlie went to work. I got up early for ice cream man. Millen left his boots here. Clifton down.

Aug 2 Tues Prof Pugh here collecting moths. Aubrey's baby born this a.m. Aubrey, Burns, Tillie, etc, came down at night. Jeanie down and kept store for me.

Aug 3 Wed Baby weighs 9 3/4 lbs. Aubrey down. His little boy died last night. Bobby Anderson came. Ruth went up home.

Aug 4 Thurs Jeanie and Bobby, Guy, Helen went to pictures. Aubrey's baby's funeral. Ruth went. Aubrey took Ruthie and I up to see Dr MacK. He gave me some pills.

Aug 5 Fri Jeanie, Bobbie, Guy, Myrtle, Joe H and Margie all went to Dumfries. Millen came home at night with Crowley.

Aug 6 Sat Bobbie, Guy, Millen, Tillie, Burns and John went to town. Bobbie, Guy and Millen went in at night.

Aug 7 Sun Mrs A, Tillie, Burns, Bob, Guy, etc, came down in afternoon. Millen went back to MacAdam at night.

Aug 8 Mon Bob and Guy came down. Took baby's pictures. Jeanie out with Guy, Etty and Bob.

Aug 9 Tues Blank

Aug 10 Wed Baby weighs 10 1/4 lbs.

Aug 11 Thurs Blank.

Aug 12 Fri Millen came home at night.

Aug 13 Sat Baby 2 months old today. Millen, Tressa, Mrs A and I all went to town. So did Bobbie, Guy and Chas. We got baby dress and booties.

Aug 14 Sun Tillie had babies christened. I went to church. We took Bobbie's picture and Ruth's. Bobbie, Etta, Guy and Jeanie took Millen out at night.

Aug 15 Mon Rained. Bobbie and Guy and Pantie down in morning. Down again at night. Out driving with Ettie and Jeanie.

Aug 16 Tues I washed. Fine day. Charlie finished fishing Friday and is working at Coy's now. Jeanie with Popeye at night.

Aug 17 Wed Panty 2 years old today. I went up with Tillie and Burns to tea. Bobby went home. Mrs A and Guy brought me home.

Aug 18 Thurs I washed. Baby weighs 11 1/4 lbs.

Aug 19 Fri Blank

Aug 20 Sat Millen didn't get home until tonight with Tillie and Burns. Mrs A, Tessa and Guy and Jeanie here at night.

Aug 21 Sun Millen has a bad cold. Chas and Ruth in town last night. Millen and I up to Tressa's to dinner and Mrs A's to supper.

Aug 22 Mon Millen went back last night with Guy. Charlie working at Coy's. Jeanie waited for Foster. He never came.

Aug 23 Tues Jeanie went to Saint John today on the bus.

Aug 24 Wed Baby weighs 11 3/4 lbs today.

Aug 25 Thurs Gertie came down.
